Filipino fans of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang will finally get a chance to watch some of the best players in the world when the country hosts the M5 World Championship this December.
MOONTON Games, as well as Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) President Bambol Tolentino, announced this Sunday night, Jan. 15, prior to the start of the M4 World Championship grand finals in Jakarta, Indonesia.
“I am excited and proud to announce that the next M5 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang World Championships will be hosted in the lands of the strongest players, Philippines!” Tolentino wrote on a social media post.
The M5 tournament will be the first ever world championship to be hosted by the country in any esports title.
The last time the country hosted a Mobile Legends tournament was in 2019 at the Southeast Asian Games.
Filipino players have lorded it over the past three Mobile Legends: Bang Bang World Championship editions, with Bren Esports winning M2, Blacklist International prevailing in M3 and ECHO Philippines triumphing in M4.
