Magic, ghosts, romance – experience all these and more in the Pinoy adaptation of Korean blockbuster, “Spellbound.”
Viva’s early Valentine offering, “Spellbound” stars Bela Padilla as Yuri, a woman who has become a ghost magnet following a vehicular accident.
The constant presence of ghosts in her life also causes fear to people near and dear to her. As such, she was soon living by her lonesome.
Yuri is convinced that she’s better off alone given her situation.
Things will change with the appearance of Marco Gumabao as Victor, a street magician.
He is actually a novice, but is able to attract audience through his charm.
The two will work with each other ultimately falling in love.
There is a problem though.
Krissy, a ghost played by Rhen Escaño, is not happy about it.
She will do anything to end their romance.
Can Krissy really scare Victor off?
Will Yuri ever get rid of Krissy?
Is the love between Victor and Yuri bound to fail?
Also starring Cindy Miranda and Ronnie Liang as directed by Jalz Zarate, “Spellbound” opens in cinemas Feb. 1.
