Another 87 entries are battling it out in Friday’s second round of the elimination of 2023 World Slasher Cup 9-Cock Invitational Derby at the historic Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Competing in the two-cock elimination rounds are Nene Araneta, Patrick Antonio, and Frank Berin, Tonio Romulo, Ronald Barandino, Nathan Jumper, and other top names of the sport.
Meanwhile, 72 entries will advance to the 3-cock semi-finals after surviving the 2-cock elimination round. Moving on to the next round are competitors with 2-0 records, while those who scored at least a point in Thursday’s first round elims to stay in contention for the title.
The winners of the semi-finals will move on to the four-cock pre-finals on Jan. 31 and grand finals on Feb. 1 wherein a new champion will be crowned. This year’s World Slasher Cup has gathered 195 entries.
