LA Tenorio’s record for the longest consecutive games played in the PBA came to an end Wednesday night, March 1, after the crafty playmaker missed the Barangay Ginebra-Meralco tussle at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Tenorio was reportedly suffering from a groin injury, thus snapping his impressive league record of 744 games played or since being selected as the No. 4 overall by San Miguel Beer in the 2006 Draft.
Ginebra coach Tim Cone said the team trainer ruled that Tenorio could miss four to six weeks because of the injury.
With the development, focus is now on Mark Barroca who has a streak of 538 games so far.
Barroca hasn’t missed a game since being drafted fifth overall by Shopinas in 2011.
