Youthful aspirants Lorenzo Portugal of Rizal, Ethan Dino of Marikina and Nicolas Cerqueda of Pasig City lead the early entries in the 1st leg of MCC Invitational Standard Open Training Games that will be held on April 29-30 at the G/F, Starmall Edsa Shaw in Mandaluyong.
The two-day non-rated event is open to all untitled players and invited masters, regardless of ages and sexes. The event will employ the seven-round Swiss System and time control of forty (40) minutes with two (2) seconds increment.
Up for grabs is a total pot of P30,000 with the champion pocketing the top purse of P7,000. Cash prizes are broken down to 10 places. Top scorers in the following categories, namely: seniors (60-year-old & above; juniors (male & female); and kiddies (12-year-old & below- boy & girl), will likewise receive cash award of P750 each.
