Chad Kinis, MC Muah, and Lassy, collective known as the Beks Battalion, are now on their way to becoming veritable film stars.
They are to star in their very own film “Beks Day Of Our Lives,” a dramedy produced by Viva Films.
The story was conceptualized by Chad.
Asked for his inspiration, Chad replied, “itong dalawang ito,” pointing to MC and Lassy.
He added, “Beks Battalion is an unexpected family. Sa totoo lang po kasi, I’ve been so alone for decades, mag-isang nagtatrabaho, mag-isa sa buhay. Parang I found a new purpose sa kanila.”
The whole group is proud of “Beks Day Of Our Lives,” sharing how they learned a lot working on it.
“Siyempre hindi naman talaga kasi kami artistang maituturing, pa extra-extra lang kami dati, sidekick ganyan, pero dito kami ang center of attention so, nakakatuwa. It’s a dream come true,” said Lassy.
In the film, Chad is Richard, an insurance broker.
He is friends for the longest time with MC’s Melvin, a tour guide and Lassy’s Reggie, a salesman.
Every week, they see to it that they bond together despite their busy schedules.
Unfortunately, Reggie has been diagnosed with leukemia.
Heartbroken, they all agree to go to Camarines Sur for one last great adventure together.
“Beks Days of Our Lives” screens in cinemas May 17.
