Back in the 90s, Video City was the leading movie rental store in the country.
It’s the go-to of those aching to watch their favorite movies over and over again.
Soon, Video City will cease to be a thing of the past with Viva Films and GMA Pictures paying homage to the whole idea in a nostalgic romantic comedy movie starring Yassi Pressman and Ruru Madrid titled, well, “Video City.”
Written by Raynier Brizuela and Che Espiritu, “Video City” tells the story of Han, a film student who accidentally gets to travel back to the 90s and meet Ningning, a Video City employee who will change his life.
Said Yassi, “I like the idea. I’ve seen how he works and I’m sure it’ll be fun working on this film.”
Asked why we need to watch the movie, Raynier related, “It’s a feel good movie na very light, fun.
Completing the cast: TJ Valderrama, Chad Kinis, Anjo Yllana, Bodjie Pascua, Suzette Ranillor, Soliman Cruz, Yvette Sanchez.
