Vivamax, the streaming platform launched in 2021 by Viva, now has 7 million subscribers.
This was announced by Viva executives Valerie and Vincent del Rosario, in a recent get-together, thanking supporters for the milestone.
“Siyempre, hindi naman naming mararating ito kung hindi rin sa inyong suporta,” said Vincent.
Valerie added, “We assure fans that we will continue producing more interesting, entertaining content.”
Note that of the 7 million, 40 percent are active users, most of them from the Middle East and North America.
The number one movie in Vivamax according to most recent data is “Pamasahe” starring virtual newcomer Azi Acosta.
Vivamax has a new aim: To have 10 million subscribers.
“I think it’s doable. We will just have to continue making new content that will engage new audiences,” said Valerie.
To date, Vivamax, known mainly for its mature content, has 408 titles in its library, with one new title coming out every week.
Some of its upcoming offerings include Brillante Mendoza’s “Hosto” and “Japino,” Joey Reyes’ “Secret Campus” and “Choose(y) Me,” McArthur Alejandre’s “Call Me Alma” and “Burlesk Queen,” Jerry Lopez Sineneng’s “Rita,” Yam Laranas’ “Bugaw,” Topel Lee’s “Tayuan,” Law Fajardo’s “Ben and Ana,” “Erotica Manila 2,” Roman Perez, Jr’s “Litsoneras” and “Kamadora.”
Eager to serve a wider demographic, Viva has since launched Viva One, which provides more “wholesome” content, with Darryl Yap’s “Martyr or Murderer” as its initial offering.
Now streaming on the platform is the hit series “The Rain in España,” the first out of the six books included in the phenomenal University series on Wattpad that has amassed a whopping 580 million combined reads.
