Adamson has released Jerry Yee from his coaching duties with the school’s women’s volleyball team after his appointment as the head coach of new Premier Volleyball League (PVL) team – the Farm Fresh.
The school announced Yee’s departure on social media on Wednesday, June 7.
“It is with regret that we are releasing Coach Jerry Yee from his commitment with
ADAMSON UNIVERSITY as Head Cond of the Women’s Volleyball Team (WVT) effective today, June 7, 2023. We understand his desire to return to the professional league and though it pains us to see him go, he has our complete and sincere support in his new endeavor,” the statement read.
The veteran coach already had his hands full with the College of St. Benilde Lady Blazers and Lady Falcons in the collegiate tournaments a day prior to the announcement of his new coaching gig.
Following his appointment as the head coach of Adamson last year, Yee steered the Lady Falcons back to the Final Four in Season 85 after nearly a decade.
“The Adamson University community would like to thank him for all his contributions to the recent success of the WVVI of Season 85. It was an inspiring journey for the Lady Falcons and without him as their Head Coach, their podium finish would not have been possible.”
“Once again, thank you Coach Jerry. We wish you all the best!,” it continued.
Yee will re-launch his coaching stint in the pro against 11 other teams in the PVL Invitationals Conference starting June 29.
