She made waves at last years’ Metro Manila Film Festival via the well-received romantic drama “Love You Long Time.”
Now, Tarlac-native Eisel Serrano is apt to do more quality films as Viva Artists Agency’s newest signee.
Eisel admitted, “Hindi ko akalain na mangyayari ito, na mapapadpad ako sa Viva but I’m thankful of course lalo na sa tiwala na binigay nila sa akin.”
Prior, Eisel was being managed by Star Magic.
She was launched in 2019 along with Belle Mariano and Charlie Dizon.
Eisel made her big screen debut in Joel Lamangan’s “Anak ng Macho Dancer” in 2021.
She was also part of the cast of Adolf Alix’s “Kontrabida,” where she got to work with the one and only Nora Aunor.
In the time of cancel culture, is she worried that some fans might criticize her decision to leave Star Magic?
The 24-year-old said, “I will always be thankful sa Star Magic. Ginawa ko din naman ang lahat para sa kanila at sila rin I believe ginawa rin nila ang magagawa nila for me. I didn’t expect this, nangyari na lang and I’m hopeful na susuportahan pa rin ako ng mga fans sa desisyon ko.”
There are no concrete plans as yet but Eisel is hopeful she will get to tackle different roles, genres with Viva.
“May mga nilatag sa akin pero wala pa talagang final. If ever i-a-announce naman naming po kung meron na,” she said.
Is she open to doing so-called “daring” roles?
“Hindi ko yata kaya,” she said. “As much as possible hindi muna pero kapag kailangan talaga sa eksena or sa character, tignan natin.”
