Actor-politician Ramon “Bong” Revilla is celebrating his 57th birthday on Sept. 25.
It will be a double celebration as he is also to celebrate his 50th anniversary in show business.
During a recent gathering, The Titanic Action Star, Alyas Pogi himself, expressed gratefulness.
Despite his busy schedule as a legislator, Sen. Bong’s love for acting continues.
His most recent project, “Walang Matigas na Pulis na Matinik na Misis,” a TV adaptation of his movie of the same title released in the ‘90s, is to conclude its first season on Aug. 20 after a 12-week run.
He then revealed that the series will have a second season, thanks to fan demand.
“Pinagpaplanuhan na po namin ang Season 2 dahil ramdam na ramdam po talaga namin ang inyong suporta at pagkasabik sa pagpapatuloy nito,” the actor said.
Did you know that Bong started his acting career at 7 years old?
His first project was his father Ramon Revilla, Sr’s. “Tiagong Akyat” in 1973.
He was launched into stardom in 1983, starring in “Dugong Buhay.”
His first blockbuster came in 1985, with the film “Boboy Tibayan: Tigre ng Cavite” opening more opportunities for him in the industry.
The rest, of course, is history.
Bong credits his dad for his love of films.
