A once happy and inseparable couple has reached a dead end. Now, they can’t wait to get rid of each other. But while waiting for their divorce to be finalized, they get into an accident that wipes away their memories.
This, in a nutshell, is “Love Reset.”
Starring Kang Ha-neul and Jung So-min, “Love Reset” will make you fall in love and laugh out loud as it delves into a fresh and intriguing take on “shared amnesia” as concept.
As Jung-yeol, Kang Ha-neul is an overly confident lawyer who makes such brash statements like: “I was perfect until God threw this woman into my life.”
He is referring to his wife, Nara (Jung So-min), a successful career woman and a perfectionist who is also slightly nutty.
As a retort to her husband, Nara likens him to “a mosquito…Who knows why they exist?”
Tired of their consistent clashes, Jung-yeol and Nara have been looking forward to their divorce.
But following their accident, they can’t even remember why they hate each other in the first place — looking at each other just like it’s the first time they met.
Their families notice this and are determined to help them regain their memory so they can end everything between them once and for all.
Note this is a reunion of sorts for Kang Ha-neul and Jung So-min, who first worked together 8 years ago in another blockbuster movie “Twenty” (2015).
Jung So-min proudly acknowledged their chemistry, saying, “We didn’t even have to share words for our teamwork to form.”
Kang Ha-neul also praised his leading lady, saying, “We discovered a new comedic talent in her.”
Regarding their on-screen battles, director Nam Dae-joong said, “Objectively speaking, their neck-to-neck bloodbath is a must-see, and it’s difficult to determine who comes out on top.”
He guarantees that “this comedy will brighten up the rest of your day, and will cause a chuckle even when you lay to sleep.”
“Love Reset” opens in Philippine cinemas nationwide on October 18.
