Creamline announced Wednesday, Oct. 18, that it is granting the request of charming Celine Domingo to play for a foreign team.
“While this decision impacts our own team’s title chances, we believe that supporting her in achieving her personal goals and in being recognized as one of a handful of Filipina volleyball players to be invited as a foreign reinforcement is an important part of our commitment to her growth as an athlete,” the Creamline management announced in a statement.
“We understand that opportunities like these do not come often, and we want to ensure that Ceddie has the chance to explore and experience the world of volleyball to its fullest,” the statement added.
The management is also confident in Domingo’s abilities and believes that this move will contribute significantly to her growth as a player.
Domingo has yet to announce what team and which country she would be playing.
She is the second player from Creamline that has been invited to play abroad.
Jia De Guzman has signed with the Denso Airybees in the Japan V.League.
The Cool Smashers won their first match in the ongoing Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference where Domingo did not see action.
They are seeking their seventh title overall.
