Rising Vivamax star Apple Dy feels lucky to have landed the lead role in GB San Pedro’s “Tuhog.”
No, this isn’t because she gets to do intimate scenes with both Arron Villaflor and Joko Diaz in the film.
She explained, “Nakakatuwa kasi na isa na naman itong challenging role at para sa isang baguhan na katulad ko, ang sarap lang ng feeling na pagkakatiwalaan ka ng isang role na napakahirap gawin.”
Prior to acting, Apple was a model and singer.
“Naglakas loob ako na tanggapin ang offer ng Viva na magpa-sexy because I really feel na pwede nitong ma-fulfill ang pangarap kong maging isang aktres.”
In “Tuhog,” Apple falls for the father of her soldier boyfriend after the latter was reported dead.
The thing is, it was “fake news.”
The soldier-boyfriend is alive and he wants Apple back.
Will his father give way?
“Mahirap,” said Apple. “Ang hirap ng sitwasyon ng character ko. Kinailangan ko talaga siyang i-proseso kasi I don’t think kaya ko gawin yun sa totoong buhay so, kailangan maintindihan ko kung saan siya nanggagaling emotionally.”
Apple is thankful that both Aaron and Joko were very supportive of her.
“Tinulungan nila ako i-process yung situation para mapaganda namin ang pelikula,” she said. “Thankful din ako kay Direk GB dahil inalagaan din niya ako. Actually, silang tatlo, they made it easy for me.”
“Tuhog,” which also stars Dyessa Garcia, Andrea Babierra, Billy Villeta, Billy Jake Cortez, Kier Legaspi, Bon Ivann Lo, Niño Aquino Mendoza, Manu Respall, and Carlene Aguilar, is now streaming on Vivamax.
