Singer-actor Poppert Bernadas continues to make his mark in the local concert scene, staging “Who Put the POP in POPPERT?” on November 11 at the Music Museum.
He promised fans it’ll be one for the books.
“I give my all in every performance and this one is no different,” he said. “Ang kaibahan lang dito is the repertoire. We made sure to cover all bases. My audience will definitely get their money’s worth.”
Poppert has been a member of the “Ryan Cayabyab Singers” (RCS) since 2007.
He has made huge strides in theatre, appearing in numerous musicals, including “Rak of Aegis,” “Magsimula Ka,” and “Godspell,” among many others.
He gained new fans joining “The Voice of the Philippines” in 2015.
“My biggest hope staging ‘Who Put the POP in POPPERT?’ is to be able to establish myself as an all-around talent who can deliver live,” he shared.
Poppert is being managed by Ogie Alcasid’s the Ateam together with ABS-CBN’s Star Magic.
“I’m really happy with my management team,” Poppert related. “They are very supportive of my hopes and dreams.”
Poppert has since appeared in several ABS-CBN shows, namely “The Goodbye Girl” and “How To Move On in 30 Days.”
“I love being in front of the cameras pero para sa akin, iba talaga ang high na binibigay ng music. I just love singing, doing live performances.”
Not content on just being a singer-actor, Poppert has started writing his own songs.
Last year he released two original songs dedicated to his late mother “Payakap Inay” which was featured in “Maalaala Mo Kaya,” and “Mama Ko,” his first collaboration with Ryan.
Early this year, he acknowledged his roots, releasing his first Visayan composition “Ambot Lang.”
“I think it’s about time that I reach out to my fellow Bisaya. Our people love music.”
All his original songs are distributed by Star Music PH and are available in digital platforms.
“Who Put the POP in POPPERT?” will be a testament to this young man’s creative brilliance.
Expect a show that seamlessly blends different genres and styles to create a one-of-a-kind musical experience.
Poppert said, “I dedicate this concert to the fans, friends, mentors, family who contributed to the success of my career.”
The show will be directed by Floy Quintos under the musical direction of Marlon Barnuevo.
