Luca Brugnoli, named Young Male Chorister by BBC for 2022, is set to wow Pinoys as he performs at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium – RCBC Plaza on November 22 as presented by Veterans Bank.
Titled, “Luca in Concert: A Special RP-UK Friendship Presentation,” the presentation will highlight the 13-year-old’s pure angelic voice as he sings well-loved classical numbers as with timeless pop hits.
Born in Sussex, Luca started singing at the age of 6.
He said, “I just love to put a smile on people’s faces. I love to sing. It’s just really good and gets all the emotions out at once.”
He actually took up singing lessons simply to strengthen his lungs.
“I was 13 weeks premature and it was either swimming or singing that I had to do and we chose singing,” he shared.
He would go on to carve a singing career with the world-renowned Libera Boys Choir under the directorship of the late Robert Prizeman.
His debut album “Rise Up,” now available on Itunes, Spotify, and Apple Music, includes his rendition of “Ave Maria,” “Pie Jesu,” “The Rose,” “Fields of Gold,” “Vincent,” “Both Sides Now,” and many more.
The album is available on Itunes, Spotify, and Apple Music.
For his first concert in Manila, Luca will be joined by Steinway & Sons Artist and Global Ambassador, Dominic Ferris, and NAMCYA champion Soprano, Regina Saban with a special ballet performance by British dancer Darcey Redman.
Proceeds will support the underprivileged children and scholars of the National Music Competitions for Young Artists Foundation, Inc. (NAMCYA).
