F2 Logistics made short work of Gerflor after coasting to a 25-10, 25-16, 25-14 victory in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City on Thursday, Nov. 9.
The Cargo Movers hardly broke a sweat in crushing the Defenders, destroying their defense time and again with their booming spikes to clinch their second straight victory.
The win not only hiked F2 Logistics’ win-loss tally to 4-2 but also tied them with Cignal in the middle standings.
In the second game, PLDT survived the hot start of Galeries Tower and came away with a 29-27, 25-14, 25-18 victory.
The High Speed Hitters banked on their spikers to squeak past the Highrisers in the opening frame before dictating the pace in the next two en route to their fifth win in 6 games.
Three players scored in double figures for the Cargo Movers with Ara Galang unleashing 11 points, including three blocks, and skipper Aby Maraño and Ivy Lacsina chipping in 10 points apiece.
Lacsina particularly took charge of F2 Logistics’ offense along with Jolina Dela Cruz after the duo conspired for 18 of the team’s 45 attacks.
Gerflor made only seven excellent sets throughout the match while delivering 26 kills.
Danika Gendrauli finished with 11 points built on 10 hits and two aces in an attempt to carry the Defenders to promise land, but her efforts went futile.
It also didn’t help that Gerflor gave up 19 points on errors compared to only eight from F2 Logistics.
The Defenders absorbed their sixth straight defeat in as many outings.
