Denise Esteban, Hershie De Leon, Angelica Cervantes, and Quinn Carrillo, collectively known as the VMX Bellas, are out to make you hot and bothered in a new film about love, friendship, betrayal, death.
Titled “Haslers,” it follows the tale of Thea (Denise), Sofia (Hershie), Cheska (Angelica), and Hazel (Quinn), disparate souls who found each other while in college.
All four also work odd and unusual jobs to provide for themselves and their family.
Thea is a high-end prostitute.
Sofia later on follows suit due to financial problems.
Cheska works as a topless maid, which is basically that: A cleaning lady who works with no top on.
Hazel, on the other hand, is a drug mule.
These girls hustle hard for money, hoping to turn their lives around someday, and they do it together.
Their bond will be severed following an incident at a party.
Going their separate ways, Thea will marry a rich guy.
Sofia becomes a dominatrix.
Cheska is living the life as a successful career woman while Hazel has completely lost her way and is addicted to drugs.
They will all be reacquainted following a suicide.
What happened at the party ten years ago that was so bad their friendship had to end?
What did Thea, Sofia, Cheska and Hazel do exactly?
Can they find a way to make it up to their old friend even if she’s gone?
Will their conscience eat them up, or will they simply bury the horrifying memories of their shared past?
Directed by Jose AbdalLangit and also starring Marco Gomez and Calvin Reyes, “Haslers” stream December 8 on Vivamax.
