Raveena Co Mansukhani, Miss Teen International PH 2023, is excited to represent the country at the Miss Teen International pageant to be held in India next year.
“As of the moment, I’m really busy preparing for the pageant. I am so excited and really hopeful that I would be able to bring home the crown,” she told us during a recent press conference.
Note the Philippines is yet to win the title.
It is Raveena’s hope that she will be the first Filipina Miss Teen International titleholder.
“Well, it’s my ardent wish but I also know that there is such a thing as destiny so I will just keep on working harder to make myself worthy of the crown.”
Raveena was a child actress, appearing in several TV shows.
She was part of “Tropang Kulit” of TV5.
She also played the young Anne Curtis in “Dyesebel,” and the young Andrea Torres in “Annasandra.”
She decided to enter pageantry upon the urging of her mom.
“At first I was kind of reticent but now I realized pageantry offers a lot in terms of self-development,” Raveena related. “I want to inspire others to try and join pageantry because it helps build character. It also helps in honing your social skills and be more confident about yourself.”
Raveena believes this is important among girls her age.
“Because we are dealing with so much anxiety, insecurity…about our looks, how we are perceived by others…when I entered pageantry I became more aware of this. That’s why my advocacy is mental health.”
“Miss Teen International Philippines is a very good platform for young Filipino women eager to express themselves, share their talents, and impart their thoughts. It’s really empowering,” she added.
Raveena, who is of mixed Chines-Filipino and Indian descent, was named Miss Teen International PH 2023 last November 13, at Tanghalang Pasiguenio.
