Sharon Cuneta and Alden Richards forged a strong bond working on the film “A Family Of Two: A Mother and Son’s Story.”
The multi-awarded actress-singer attested, “I never thought we’d click as much as I did. But from the start, I really felt na parang anak ko siya talaga. He’s so easy to get along with.”
She went on, “And we’re so alike. We have so much in common. Even my own kids say that. And it’s true, we think along the same lines. He’s like a male Sharon and I’m a female Alden.”
Alden is quite honored with the flattery.
He would go on to thank Sharon, deeming her, among the best mothers one could have.
“She’s so sweet, thoughtful, masayahin…and she’s always ready to listen,” the actor shared.
“At totoo yun, we share a lot in common. We enjoy the same hobbies, the same movies…And our sentiments, our commitment towards our craft and the industry are the same. I truly appreciate our similarities and think that’s one of the reasons we clicked.”
“A Family Of Two: A Mother and Son’s Story” is about a widowed mother who enjoys a close bond with her son having raised him all by herself. She is now having difficulty realizing she has to let him go one of these days.
Sharon said, “I could totally relate kasi siyempre may mga anak ako na unti-unti nang bumubuo ng sari-sarili nilang buhay so, itong pelikula, it’s simple pero I feel marami ang makaka-relate. Hindi siya drama na puro sigawan, iyakan, sampalan but it hits you straight in the heart kasi very meaningful ang message niya na akma sa parents and their kids.”
“Family of Two: A Mother and Son’s Story,” produced by Cineko Productions as written by Mel Mendoza-Del Rosario and directed by Nuel Crisostomo Naval, also stars Miles Ocampo, Jackie Lou Blanco, Tonton Gutierrez, Pepe Herrera, Soliman Cruz.
It opens in cinemas nationwide on Dec. 25 as part of this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.
