Talking about young British-Filipina hottie Geraldine Jennings, the newest find of talent manager Leo Dominguez who will be introducing her locally via the tune “If I Will Ever Love Again” her first single, as penned by Ogie Alcasid.
“Miley Cyrus is my inspiration, musical-wise,” Geraldine said. “I love her musical style, how she sings, how she performs.”
Note Geraldine has been performing for some time.
“My first love is singing and playing the guitar. I joined a singing competition, ‘Teenstar UK’ in 2018 and reached the finals. I also won the prestigious future music award in the Open Mic singing competition in the UK and got to perform at the O2 Arena in London.”
As to “If I Will Ever Love Again,” she said, “I’m quite honored that Ogie Alcasid wrote my first single. It’s a really beautiful, sweet love song.”
Beyond music, Geraldine is also trying her hand at acting.
She is to star in “La Isla Babuyan” opposite Jameson Blake.
“We already started principal photography and I love it,” Geraldine related. “It is quite exciting for me as acting poses a different challenge.”
“I learned a lot from actually being on the set and doing it,” she added. “I am thankful that co-stars are really supportive of me. I learned a lot from them.”
As actress, Geraldine looks up to Gal Gadot and Margot Robbie.
She said, “They are both amazing actors, very versatile.”
Geraldine has no problem speaking Tagalog – something that sets her apart from others of her ilk eager to make a mark in local showbiz.
“I am familiar with the language because mom speaks it at home,” she said. “I also visit the Philippines regularly so I could speak and understand a lot of the words. But just to make sure I am doing it right, I also have a language tutor.”
