Alessandra de Rossi and Empoy Marquez are teaming up anew.
This time on TV.
They are the stars of NET25’s latest sitcom “May For Ever.”
If it isn’t obvious, the title is a pun on the popular adage “May forever.”
Says Alessandra, “Sa show bale ako si May at si Empoy naman si Ever. Mga lolo at lola na kami rito kasi naka-set ito sa future.”
“Ang mangyayari, babalikan naming ang nakaraan para ikwento kung paano namin nahanap ang aming ‘forever,” adds Empoy.
“So, totoo po ang tsismis: May forever. May forever sa show namin,” Alessandra interjects with a laugh.
The tandem earned huge at the box-office several times over, starting with the surprise hit “Kita Kita” in 2017.
Offers for them to work together came in droves but the two were wary to accept these willy nilly.
“Ayaw naman namin ng basta-basta lang na binuong project para lang mapagsama kami,” relates Alessandra. “Ito, nakakatuwa kasi parang iba naman siya, parang something na hindi pa naming nata-try. Parang it was really made for us.”
“Tsaka hindi lang siya basta comedy,” says Empoy. “May puso siya. It’s also about family, friendship, love.”
“It’s about sticking together for better or worse,” Alessandra maintains. “Na yun din naman ang gusto naming message na i-impart.”
The cast also includes Michelle Vito, Drei Arias, Vangie Labalan, Archie Alemania, Anthony Ocampo, TJ Valderrama, Mitoy Yonting, Zach Francisco.
“May Forever” starts airing January 20, Saturday, 7pm on NET25.
