Perpetual Lady Altas and Junior Altas topped the table tennis competitions after dethroning San Beda Thursday, Feb. 1, at Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) Sports Center in Ermita here.
The Las Pinas City-based women’s team drew strength from Rookie of the Year (ROY) and Most Valuable Player (MVP) Chrisien Mae Santillan in ending San Beda’s reign, 3-2.
Other members of the team were Keziahbien Ablaza, Patrica Luca, Trisha May Plurad, Zada Marie Bocala and Charmaine Glorioso of Jun Glorioso and Kirby Colis.
It was Perpetual’s first-ever women’s crown in the event.
The Junior Atlas, bannered by Rookie and MVP winner Gerald Aguilar, dumped the Red Cubs, 3-1, to emerge champions.
College of St. Benilde reigned supreme in men’s division after a 3-1 win over San Beda.
