Dominic Roque has broken his silence, issuing an official statement addressing several issues thrown at him following his breakup with Bea Alonzo.
Made through his lawyers at Fernandez & Singson law offices, the statement zeroed in on issues as allegedly discussed in Cristy Fermin’s vlog.
“We strongly condemn the malicious and defamatory public statements of Ms. Fermin,” it said, maintaining these were made “under the guise of entertainment news without any effort from her to confirm the same from Mr. Dominic Roque.”
The statement clarified Dominic’s alleged involvement with some politicians as supposedly alleged by Fermin, including Dapitan City Mayor Bullet Jalosjos and former Congressman Bong Suntay, who is also founder and and chief executive officer of Clean Fuel.
Dominic confirmed leasing a condo unit owned by Bullet, but denied that the public official is a “benefactor.”
As to Bong being another of his “suspected benefactors,” he said, “By making such a statement, Ms. Fermin made the innuendo that unreasonably casts doubt on the sexuality of former Congressman Bong Suntay.”
It added, “Mr. Dominic Roque does not own a Clean Fuel gas station; in fact, all Clean Fuel gas stations are company-owned.”
As to his breakup with Bea, Dominic maintained that he and the actress “never fought nor had a disagreement over a prenuptial agreement.”
“Reckless statements relating to the alleged disagreement over a pre-nuptial agreement between them are not only unverified but merely based on speculations intended to produce a negative image on the parties concerned,” the statement ended.
Bullet also cleared his involvement in the issue in a YouTube interview with Jay Ruiz.
He said, “Clarify ko lang, actually ‘yung condo totoong akin talaga ‘yon. Ginawa ko siyang airbnb. Syempre, as a friend, barkada, si Dom, asked me if I want to have it rented. Natawa na nga lang ako bakit tumalon ‘yung issue sa business na binahay na.”
He went on, “Sana naman itong mga nagkakalat, claiming they are mga batikang journalist, sana naman ingat ingat rin. They have responsibility to the people dapat fact-finding. Hindi ‘yung nalaman nila nasa pangalan ko ‘yung condo, sugar daddy nako bigla. Ang problema doon sinakyan, ginagaslight nila ‘yung issue.”
In the same interview, Bong denied allegations that he gifted the actor a Clean Fuel gas station.
“Kung talagang magreresearch lang makikita nila as early as five years ago talagang brand ambassador na si Dominic. Ang nakakagulat nga ‘yung pinost pa nilang picture ‘yung contract signing namin ni Dom,” he remarked.
