Choco Mucho and Chery Tiggo stake their unblemished records when they clash on Saturday, March 2, in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
Game time is at 6 p.m. with the Flying Titans and the Crossovers gunning for their third straight victories in as many outings.
Also out to extend its winning run to three is PLDT when it squares off with Petro Gazz (1-1) at 4 p.m.
Raising the curtain in the day’s triple-header are Galeries Tower (0-1) and Cignal (1-0) at 2 p.m., who are coming off contrasting fortunes in their first matches.
But focus will be on Choco Mucho and Chery Tiggo as both teams made their respective title campaigns felt with impressive wins.
The Crossovers are expected to be up for a bigger challenge this time after easy, straight-set victories against neophyte teams Capital1 Solar Spikers and Strong Group Athletics, while the Flying Titans are hoping to carry the momentum of their hard-fought five-set triumph over the Petro Gazz Angels last Wednesday, Feb. 27.
Skipper Aby Maraño and Mylene Paat are going to anchor Chery Tiggo anew along with sisters EJ and Eya Laure in challenging Choco Mucho’s formidable frontline led by Sisi Rondina, Kat Tolentino, Cherry Nunag and Isa Molde.
Reinforcements are also critical with the Crossovers pinning their hopes on Ara Galang and Ces Robles while the Flying Titans are relying on Maddie Madayag and Deanna Wong.
In the other matchup, PLDT tries to stay flawless after sweeping Galeries Tower and Nxled, but the High Speed Hitters will have their hands full as the Angels are out to get back on the winning track.
