Creamline flaunted its depth and cohesion as it trounced Galeries Tower, 25-22, 25-17, 25-15, to remain unscathed in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
The multi-titled Cool Smashers survived the persistent challenge of the Highrisers in the opening set before directing the game tempo in the next two frames to clinch their third win in as many games and tie with sister team Choco Mucho Flying Titans at the helm.
Everybody contributed a little of everything as Creamline coach Sherwin Meneses gave all his players enough playing time, with Michele Gumabao coming off the bench with 10 points highlighted by three blocks.
Tots Carlos and skipper Alyssa Valdez only played in the first two sets, but managed to contribute nine and eight points, respectively, for the Cool Smashers while seldom-used Lorie Lyn Bernardo posted six points.
Kyle Negrito also spelled the difference for Creamline, distributing the ball well and finishing with 18 excellent sets on top of two points.
Ysa Jimenez attempted to lift Galeries Tower by scoring 11 points, all from attacks, but her efforts were not enough to douse the fire of Creamline.
Joy Doromal registered nine points, while Dim Pacres and Andrea Marzan combined for eight points in a losing effort for the Highrisers, who plummeted to their third consecutive defeat.
