Nxled drew strength from Ivy Lacsina and trounced Galeries Tower, 25-21, 25-18, 25-15, to snap a three-game losing spell in the Premier Volleyball League All Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Tuesday, March 12.
Lacsina weakened the Highrisers defense by pumping in all her 17 points on attacks that gave the Chameleons their first victory after three straight defeats.
The triumph came with resilient attempts from Galeries Tower, which tried to outplay Nxled behind the efforts of Ysa Jimenez, Joy Doromal and Mary Anne Esguerra to no avail.
Lycha Ebon also sizzled for the Chameleons with 11 kills and three blocks for 15 points, while Camille Victoria chipped in 10 points.
The Highrisers absorbed their fourth straight defeat to join Strong Group Athletics at the cellar despite Jimenez, Doromal and Esguerra combining for 21 points.
