Games Tuesday
(Filoil EcoOil Arena)
4 p.m. – Strong Group vs Cignal
6 p.m. – Choco Mucho vs PLDT
Choco Mucho tries to keep its record unblemished when it squares off with PLDT on Tuesday, March 19, in the Premier Volleyball League All Filipino Conference at the FilOil EcoOil Arena in San Juan City.
A victory for the Flying Titans in their 6 p.m. tussle with the High Speed Hitters would extend their winning run to five games and keep them on top of the leaderboard.
Choco Mucho is expected to pull out all the stops to remain unscathed, fully aware of the challenge posed by PLDT, a team that is coming off a weeklong respite following their straight-set triumph over Capital1 that hiked its tally to 3-1.
A triumph for PLDT, though, would create a four-way logjam on top with Choco Mucho, Petro Gazz and Creamline.
Sisi Rondina and Kat Tolentino have been dishing out stellar games for the Flying Titans, particularly in their straight-set win over the Cignal HD Spikers were they combined for 37 points.
Choco Mucho coach Dante Alinsunurin is also expected to draw strength from Maddie Madayag, Royse Tubino, Mars Alba and Cherry Nunag to keep the momentum going.
PLDT, meanwhile, is ready to showcase its equally star-studded roster spearheaded by Savi Davison and Fiola Ceballos, who conspired for 32 points in their win over Capital1.
Strong reinforcements will also come from Dell Palomata, Kim Fajardo, Majoy Baron and Rhea Dimaculangan.
Meanwhile, Cignal seeks to rebound against Strong Group Athletics at 4 p.m. in its bid to improve its 3-1 slate.
Ces Molina, Roselyn Doria, Riri Meneses and Vanie Gandler are expected to go all out against the Athletics, who aim to crawl out of a 0-4 hole.
