Nova Villa, Noel Trinidad and Tessie Tomas are to star in “Senior Moments” the first offering of the newly minted film outfit A & S Productions.
The three are all happy to have landed the gig.
Said Nova, 78, “Akmang-akma kasi senior na ako at marami akong senior moments.”
Added Noel, 82, “At this point in time, I am happy to keep working. I’m glad they offered me this job. I believe the story will be relatable to many.”
Tessie, 73, chimed in, “This is my second film with director Neal Tan. I’m happy he considered me for this.
In the course of the interview, the three mentioned some things they are experiencing as so-called seniors.
But I feel I could still contribute.
Pero I could still act, I could still do scenes.”
What are their hopes relating “Senior Moments?”
“For it to reach a lot of people,” Tessie offered. “For them to gain more understanding regarding seniors. Kasi, I feel like, there’s a lack of understanding generally speaking sa ating society and I could attest to that.”
She would go on to relate how there were a couple of times she was slighted by some of her younger co-stars who can’t help but chide her for being supposedly “slow.”
“Because I walk with a limp. Because I’ve had left and right hip replacement. And it hurts. So, sana ‘pag may nakikita kayong ano mang karamdaman, kesyo pi-pilay-pilay, kesyo nakakalimot ng line or something, o bingi, try to be supportive. Be understanding. Because one day, darating ka rin dun.”
