Vivamax sexy star Rica Gonzales maintains “Dayo” is her boldest outing yet.
“Naka-apat na po akong pelikula sa Vivamax pero I think ito talaga ang pinaka-super sexy, as in level-up po talaga,” she told us.
She is not keen on sharing specifics, relating “ayoko ma –spoil ang followers ko. Gusto ko ma-surprise sila kapag pinanood nila ang ‘Dayo.’”
Film director Sid T. Pascua insists “Dayo” is not just your average sexy-drama.
He explains, “Yes, we have tons of sexy scenes here but the film goes beyond that. It’s about self-discovery inasmuch as it also puts a spotlight on the illegal drug trade particularly in and around the country’s tourist spots.”
Sid wrote the screenplay with his assistant director, the actress Quinn Carillo.
It follows the story of Elsa, a dancer in a club in Manila.
Said Rica who plays Elsa, “Makikita dito kung paano tignan ng lipunan ang mga katulad ni Elsa.”
Men think Elsa is an easy lay.
Women on the other hand look down upon her.
Tired of it all, Elsa leaves everything behind and visits her friend Aya (Audrey Avila) who is now staying at a beach up north.
Elsa likes it that out there, no one knows about her past.
She would go on to find work as a waitress in a resort, and for the first time, she actually feels free.
Falling in love is the last thing on her mind, but even that becomes possible in her new life.
Calvin Reyes plays Eddy, a tricycle driver. He’s the first man to make Elsa feel loved.
Eddy doesn’t make her feel dirty, but adored.
With Eddy, she no longer feels like an outsider. She’s found her new home.
But Eddy is involved in something illegal.
To make it worse, Eddy is indebted to someone from Elsa’s past.
Also starring Marco Gomez and Nathan Rojas, “Dayo” streams on Vivamax on April 19.
