Like hitting two birds with one stone.
Writer-director Philip King is set to make a big splash on April 24.
Two of his recent films, “Elevator” and “G! LU”c are to screen on the said date.
This marks a significant milestone in King’s journey as writer-director under Rein Entertainment.
Philip was a scriptwriter for ABS-CBN for over 10 years prior.
He wrote for numerous top-rating shows such as “Noah,” “Budoy,” “Juan Dela Cruz,” “Katorse,” “Kapitan Inggo,” and “Sana Maulit Muli.”
He has also written and directed Tencent Pictures’ first Filipino Original Series, the youth-oriented drama mystery “Section St. Valentine: The Disappearance of Divine” streaming on WE TV and co-created the critically-acclaimed TV Series “Bagman.”
According to Philip, “Elevator” and “G! LU” represent phases in life: One when you are wild, young and free, and the other when you are at the crossroads of success and failure.
Rein Entertainment co-produced “Elevator” with with Viva Entertainment, Cineko
Productions, WASD Media Productions, and Dogma Films.
It stars Paulo Avelino and Kylie Verzosa together with Singaporean actor Adrian Pang.
It is a modern day love story about two hard-working, career-driven Filipinos forced to choose between love or their dreams.
It offers audiences a poignant narrative set against the vibrant backdrop of Singapore.
“G!LU,” produced by ALV Films, Bench and Rein Entertainment, is a summer movie
starring some of the country’s hottest young stars: Ruru Madrid, Derrick Monasterio and David Licauco, together with Kiko Estrada, Teejay Marquez, Enzo Pineda, Katarina Rodriguez, Kimi Mugford, Sophia Senoron, Michelle Dee, and Chanel Morales.
The movie is about a group of young men eager to push the limits of summer fun.

Aside from “Elevator” and “G! LU,” Rein Entertainment is also co-producing “The Bagman” with ABS-CBN International, Dreamscape Entertainment, and Nathan Studios.
Rein Entertainment joined the 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival via the film, “Nanahimik ang Gabi” which won 4 National Awards in the Asian Academy Creative Awards, including Best Screenplay and Best Feature Film.
