Eager to sing with an OPM icon?
Yes, you can.
Ice Seguerra is set to hit the Music Museum on May 10 and 11 for his first-ever concert this year dubbed “Videoke Hits” and you could actually join him onstage.
Apparently, the idea behind the whole shindig is to recreate an intimate videoke session among friends.
Said Liza Diño-Seguerra, CEO of Fire and Ice Live, “We are going to stage a real videoke experience with Ice inside the Music Museum. The audience would feel na ka-videoke nila sa Ice. So, this concert is going to be more interactive than usual para kay Ice, para sa audience.”
Ice admitted, “This is quite exciting for me kasi, I’ve never done something like this before.”
He added, “Ang pinaka-ano pa dito, we will actually allow fans to pick some of the songs that I will perform at the concert.”
And that’s when the “jamming session” will take place.
“Yun ang pinaka-challenge and I welcome it as singer,” Ice conveyed. “Ako kasi, my favorite pastime is singing talaga, but I haven’t done this before, like, onstage, and I am looking forward to sharing a special moment with fans, singing their favorite songs.”
The concert is also personal for the singer-songwriter.
“My dad loved to sing,” Ice related. “Even when he was already in palliative care, ‘yung last few years of his life, he was still into it. Nag-request pa nga ng videoke machine…”
“So, in a way, parang it’s my way of honoring his memory din,” Ice added.
What will the concert be like?
Ice hinted, “It is going to be a smorgasbord of hits, pop songs, show tunes, classics, bago, luma, anything goes…we want everyone there to have fun.”
Presented by Katinko, tickets for “Videoke Hits” are available at Ticketworld.
