Filipino ace spikers Tots Carlos, Mylene Paat and MJ Phillips went undrafted in the 2024 Korean Volleyball (KOVO) Women’s Asian Quota Draft last Wednesday, May 1, at Jeju Sun Hotel in Jeju-do, South Korea.
Paat and Carlos, who missed their respective semis matches in the PVL All-Filipino Conference due to their two-day tryouts for the KOVO draft, were not selected alongside Phillips, who is gunning for her second stint in the Korean tournament.
Creamline’s Carlos failed in her first-ever try while Chery Tiggo’s Paat settled for the same result in two consecutive years.
Meanwhile, Phillips, who was selected as fifth overall by the Gwangju Al Peppers last year, wasn’t as fortunate this year as the Al Peppers added Chinese middle blocker Yu Zhang as the first overall pick.
It is yet to be determined if Carlos and Paat will suit up for their PVL teams on Thursday, May 2.
