Lovi Poe has come out to admit she was once insecure relating her breasts.
She actually thought of having it surgically enhanced at one point.
Good thing she didn’t push through with it.
“Only because I was paranoid about it,” she said. “Marami akong apprehensions about the process. I’m too paranoid to try and do anything like that.”
Eventually, she was able to overcome self-doubt.
“I learned to love what was given me, and now, I don’t even think about it,” she said.
“Pero sometimes, naiinggit ako dun sa may mga girls na may (well-defined) side boob. ‘Pag nakikita ko sila, I’m like, sana all,” she added with a laugh.
Beyond that, the actress revealed she was also ill at ease with regards to her skin tone back when she was younger.
“I would even sulk about it na parang sana I was fairer like the other girls,” she said.
But she didn’t avail of so-called whitening products.
“I realized na it is what makes me different din so, ultimately sabi ko, gagalingan ko na lang in whatever I do. I realized na parang what makes you different, what makes you unique, it’s gonna make you standout. It’s gonna make you shine.”
Her advice to those lacking confidence concerning their physical appearance?
“I just want them to know na hindi sila nag-iisa. We all go through that,” she said. “Ako, there are days na I wake up and I don’t feel so good about myself pero, you know, laban lang. Surround yourself with positive people. Stay happy. Appreciate what you have. Sooner or later lalabas yung inner glow mo.”
Lovi is back in the country to renew her contract with beauty and wellness brand SCD.
“I feel blessed to continue my partnership with SCD. I really love their products. Part na siya ng beauty regimen ko,” she said.
Note however, it is just secondary to her decision to align with the brand established by Gracee Angeles.
“Ang pinaka-una ko talagang consideration joining SCD is seeing Miss Gracee interact with her employees, her team. She treats them like family talaga and I appreciate that.”
