Alcasid Entertainment and Artist Management, otherwise known as the A Team, through the leadership of singer-songwriter-TV host-producer-actor Ogie Alcasid, recently announced its line up of shows for this year and the next.
These include several concerts featuring several prominent names in OPM like Lara Maigue, Gian Magdangal, Noel Cabangon, Jed Madela, Bituin Escalante, Poppert Bernadas, Martin Nievera, and Ogie himself.
Ogie related, “You better watch out for these shows. These are all going to be big!”
Then there’s the reunion show of the Streetboys, which is something that truly excites Ogie.
He shared, “Kasi it all started lang with a simple talk between me and Vhong (Navarro). Nalaman ko na they were planning a reunion gig, silang mga Streetboys. Then I offered to produce the show for them. Akala nila, hindi ako seryoso. But I actually started talking Direk Chito (Roño, the group’s manager). We had meetings, then, ayun, tuluy-tuloy na.”
He added, “Sobrang exciting for me kasi, as a fan, I want to see them all together again.”
As excited as Ogie are the members of the group, particularly Vhong Navarro and Jhong Hilario.
“Kasi ang tagal na rin naming hindi nakapag-perform together so may halong kaba at excitement,” said Jhong.
“Ang dami nang napagdaanan namin… siyempre 31 years na kami, e. Ang sa amin e, bago man lang kami totally tumanda na, na hindi na kami makapagsayaw, gusto namin e, last hurrah na makapag-perform ulit kami.”
There are many more shows in store from the A-Team.
Ogie himself attested, “Actually we have 21 shows in the works so far.”
“And I’m very excited, of course. I’m happy producing shows. This is something I want to focus on in the next few months.”
Does this mean he is doing away with his TV commitments? And how about the artists he has been managing?
“I will continue with that naman pero I really want to focus more on this. Yung mga shows. I want each venture to succeed. I’m just happy na nangyayari na lahat ng ito at this point.”
