The University of Perpetual Help Altas Spikers made history and completed a four-peat in the NCAA Season 99 men’s volleyball championship after taking down Emilio Aguinaldo College General in a thrilling straight-set victory, 25-14, 25-22, 29-27 in Game 2 of the Finals Sunday, May 26, at the FilOil EcoOil Center in San Juan City.
Michael Medalla delivered the championship point for the Altas Spikers , blocking an Ervin Osabel attack to put an end to the extended third set and lift Perpetual to its second four-peat in the last 14 years.
Jeff Marapoc spearheaded the team’s balanced attack with 18 points, built on 15 attacks and three aces while reigning Most Valuable Player Louie Ramirez fired 14 points and Kobe Tabuga had 13 for the Altas Spikers coached by multi-titled coach Sinfronio ‘Sammy’ Acayla
“Finally, we finished the series in Game 2. It was a team effort para makuha namin ito, I thank all my teammates for this,” said Ramirez as the Altas fans basked in glory after also netting the school’s 14th championship

It was a dominating performance for the Las Pinas-based spikers, who kept their composure when the Generals threatened to steal a set in the third.
The Perpetual Junior Altas Girls also won the Volleyball Fiesta as they beat the Arellano Lady Braves in the best-of-three Finals to claim the Season 99 crown.
Ramirez got the 2nd best outside spiker along with his second-straight MVP honors while Marapoc emerged as the Finals MVP.
Axel Van Book of SBU bagged the Rookie of the Year and 1st outside hitter while Jun Edang of LPU netted Freshman of the Year award.
Winning as the first middle blocker was Vince Himzon of Letran, 2nd middle blocker for KC Andrade, best opposite spiker Ruther Abor of EAC. the best libero was Bim Diones of EAC and best setter was claimed by Adrian Villados of Arellano.
