Four of the five teams seeing action in the AIA 7s Super League this Sunday, June 9, at the Atleta63 fields in Bridgetown, Pasig City, will try to rack up points in their bids to catch up to the frontrunning Pampanga Strikers.
Action in the AIA 7s Super League intensifies this weekend at the Atleta63 fields in Bridgetown, Pasig City.
The Strikers are leading the field with a 5-3 record for 15 points. Pampanga will try to pad their lead this Sunday when they tangle with the Alabang South Supers at 7:30 p.m.
In their last assignment, the Strikers continued their winning ways after defeating the BGC Soldiers, 8-3.
On the other side, the South Supers (4-4) are one of five teams with a total of 12 points thus far. Alabang will try to ride the momentum of its 5-4 win over the Paranaque Nets against Pampanga.
Also set to see action this weekend are the Paranaque Nets and the Quezon City Heroes at 7:30 p.m.
Both teams are coming off losses and will be looking to get back on the winning track. The Heroes dropped their last assignment to the Pasig Pirates (4-4), 5-2, while the Nets lost a close one to Alabang, 5-4.
In the only other game scheduled for Sunday, the Pirates will try to follow up their 5-2 win over the Heroes when they face the Siniloan Blues (4-3) at 8:30 p.m.
The Blues drew a bye last weekend. In their last assignment, they lost 5-0 to the Alabang South Supers on May 11.
