Archer Agustina Bantiloc became the latest Filipino to earn a ticket to the 2024 Paris Paralympics after qualifying in the women’s compound event.
The Philippine Paralympic Committee announced the development on Saturday, June 8, after the 55-year-old Bantiloc qualified through Bipartite Commission Invitation (BPC) which gives four individual berths (two men, two women) for eligible athletes.
The native of Baguio City also achieved the Minimum Qualification Standard (MQS) despite not reaching the final round of the Para Archery Olympic Qualifiers in Bangkok, Thailand lastt year
Bantiloc will join taekwondo jin Allain Ganapin (men’s 80kg) and swimmers Angel Otom (women’s 200m freestyle, 50 backstroke, 50m butterfly) and Ernie Gawilan (men’s 400m freestyle, 200m individual medley) in the Paralympics slated Aug. 28 until Sept. 8.
