University of Perpetual Help’s Marvin Ramos crowned himself sprint prince as the track and field competition returned with a bang in the NCAA Season 99 Friday, June 7, at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.
The Grade 12 student did not only win once but twice as he also reigned in long jump to help UPH capture five gold medals in the return of the event was shelved in 2020 due to Covid pandemic.
UPH also collected 4 silver and 2 bronze medals.
Other gold medal winners for UPH were Franz Matos (400m), Chris Jay Pasion (800m) and Kervy Dianito (javelin throw).
Diantio triumphed in record-breaking fashion while Matos also collected a bronze in the 100m and Passion also a silver medal winner in steeplechase.
Other medalists for UPH were Chinno Balmores (silver in discus throw, Grade 11 Janoel Curay (silbver, pole vault),Grade 11 Jr Castro (silver, javelin throw) and
Grade 12 Rafael Ticatic (bronze, 110m)
UPH coach Trece Academia hopes to win more medals in the three-day event.
