Perpetual is looking to cap a splendid NCAA Season 99 with cheerleading crown on June 19 at the FilOil Eco Oil Centre in San Juan City.
Already with 9 championships in seven different sports, the Altas are looking to put a strong end to the season when they challenge the five-peat seeking Arellano Chiefs.
Perpetual is also looking to end a string of bridesmaid finishes after falling short for the title last season when it scored 227.5 points against the Chiefs’ 245.5 points
Highlighting the title runs in the senior’s division for Perpetual was the four-peat of its men’s volleyball team – 14th overall since 1985.
The Altas also bagged the crown in the women’s table tennis and soft tennis, chess and men’s beach volleyball headed by Louie Ramirez and Jeff Marapoc.
For the Junior Altas. Perpetual ruled the girls’ volleyball, juniors 3×3 basketball, boys’ tennis and the second of a back-to-back titles in track and field spearheaded by Rookie of the Year and Season MVP Marvin Ramos.
The Junior Altas collected a total of 804.5 points in 18 events to secure their second consecutive title this season with a 153-point margin over Jose Rizal University and Arellano University, who compiled 657.25 and 503 points, respectively.
They also finished runner up in lawn tennis (women’s), soft tennis (men’s), chess (junior’s) and basketball juniors.
