Melai Cantiveros is set to host ABS-CBN’s first mainstream Bisaya talk show “Kuan on One.”
Streaming on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel and iWantTFC starting July 2 (Tuesday), “Kuan on One” sees Melai sharing her usual brand of humor to viewers as she sits down with some prominent Visayan personalities.
“Excited talaga ako sa show kasi siyempre proud Bisaya ako,” she told us.
“Never ko inexpect na mabigyan ako ng ganitong show kasi feeling ko hindi ko kaya mag-host ng show mag-isa pero nag-click sa akin na parang pwede pala kasi tungkol naman sa Bisaya at para sa mga Bisaya ang show.”
Besides being a platform for the public to get to know Visayan celebrities and for the people in Visayas and Mindanao to be felt, seen and heard, the show will allow for stories that inspire.
“It’s all about happiness. Dito talaga iiyak ka sa tawa. Relaxation na lang nila (guests) ‘yung interview na Bisaya. It’s all about past na life nila and lahat ng pwede nilang sabihin under the sun in Bisaya na pwede nilang i-open up sa kanilang Kuantie,” Melai explained.
“Of course, para sa mga hindi Bisaya na makapanood ng show na ito, dito nila matutunan lalo kung ano at sino talaga ang mga Bisaya,” she added.
Among expected guests for “Kuan on One” are her fellow “PBB” big winners Kim Chiu and Maymay Entrata, BINI members Aiah and Colet, Sheryn Regis, Vivoree, Jason Dy, and Christian Bables.
“Gusto ko rin siyempre i-guest ang iba pa nating mga Bisaya na celebrities na sina KZ Tandingan, si Manny Pacquiao, si Boy Abunda, at marami pang iba.”
The show will start with 13 episodes but Melai maintained, “Pwede pa itong humaba depende sa suporta ninyo na mga Bisaya diyan. Let us know kung ano gusto ninyo mapanood o makita sa show.”
“Kuan on One” premiere on July 2 on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel and iWantTFC.
