Bobby Ray Parks Jr. has found a new home in the Japan B.League after signing with Osaka Evessa, the team disclosed Wednesday, June 26.
Parks, who played three seasons for Nagoya, will bring his talent to Japan’s Tenka no Daidokoro in the upcoming 2024-25 season, though, there are no details about the deal.
The former NU standout took his time to thank his former team Diamond Dolphins for giving him the chance to banner the city in the tournament.
“It has truly been my honor and privilege to represent you guys and the great city of Nagoya for the past 3 years. We have been through a lot of ups and downs but we made history,” Parks stressed.
“You all gave me a breath of fresh life on and off the court when I was at my lowest. I’m forever grateful. Thank you for the unconditional love,” he added.
He also expressed his appreciation to the whole Nagoya community, noting they made him a better man.
“To the fans, boosters, and everyone I met along the way I will forever keep in my heart. To my teammates and staff, who became my family, thank you for making me a better basketball player, and most importantly, a better man,” he continued.
The 31-year-old will suit up for the Evessa which finished their campaign with 25-35 win-loss record at 18th place last edition.
