Sue Ramirez and Barbie Imperial, two of today’s hottest actresses, are to star in the upcoming film “How To Slay A Nepo Baby.”
Barbie is quite excited about it, deeming the film “very different” to anything she has done prior.
“At ang weird pa nun, during filming, I feel like something is trying to stop us from ever finishing it,” she added. “May mga nangyayari sa akin in particular na para bang dini-delay kami. Like, one time, nahulog pa ako sa hagdanan.”
The story follows a group of entitled rich kids.
Said film director Rod Marmol, “People describe them as ‘Nepo babies,’ spoiled rich kids who think highly of themselves but are nothing without their parents’ wealth.”
The barkada includes Ada, the “Queen Bee,” J, Ada’s influencer boyfriend, Bella, a model; Kel and Sho, twins from a wealthy Spanish family, and Cass, the newest member of the group, who is with her guardian, Yayo.
They plan on having a careless, carefree wild adventure traveling to Sagada but Yayo will have none of it.
Not amused, Ada and Cass confront Yayo about it, going on to hurt him.
The two thought they have finally gotten rid of Yayo but they were surprised to see him return with nary a scratch.
Yayo then convinces the group to visit Lunti, an off-the-grid village led by a mysterious woman named Inayon.
There, they experience strange customs and traditions.
Inayon is also actually also quite grim.
As the group stays longer in Lunti, the more they endanger themselves.
What would six privileged kids do in a place where their status and wealth have no value?
Will they be able to leave Lunti, or have they reached their tragic end?
From Viva Films and Happy Infinite Productions, “How To Slay A Nepo Baby” also stars Phi Palmos, JC Galano, Charm Aranton, Chaye Mogg, Sue Prado, Naia Ching, Ralph Gomez, Phil Gomez, and Coi Suazo.
It opens in cinemas July 31.
