Three-time PBA Best Import Allen Durham is set for return with Meralco while Rain or Shine has tapped the services of a former coach Yeng Guiao reinforcement in Aaron Fuller for upcoming season-opening PBA Governors’ Cup.
The hulking Durham, which towed the Bolts to three finals appearance in the Governors’ Cup, hope to finally settle the unfinished business and power the franchise to second-straight championship after ruling the Philippine Cup last season.
The 36-year-old center last played for Meralco 2020 and since then spent time playing around Asia particularly in the Korean Basketball League and Japan B. League where he suited up for Ryukyu Golden Kings for the last three years.
With Durham’s return, he is set to rekindle his old rivalry with Justin Brownlee, Barangay Ginebra’s resident import who is also making his PBA return since missing out the last season’s Commissioner’s Cup due to his FIBA suspension.
Aside from Durham and Brownlee, also making his return to the league albeit in a different uniform is Fuller who had his first stint in the PBA with NLEX before also reinforcing TNT and Blackwater.
With the Elasto Painters, Fuller gets reunited with Guiao who was his coach with the Road Warriors in his first foray in the league in 2017.
He last played for Guiao in 2018 averaging huge numbers of 31.1 points and 16.6 rebounds.
