According to Blvck Entertainment’s Louie and Grace Cristobal, the contest was meant to inspire the country’s scriptwriters, fanning the flames of their creativity.
Said Grace, “It was a suggestion pitched by Direk Roman. We agreed to do it realizing the need to acknowledge both aspiring and professional scriptwriters’ contribution to the industry. Without them we wouldn’t have the beautiful stories we enjoy as films. With this contest, we are encouraging them to keep pursuing their passion.”
“The contest also aims to cultivate stories that reflect the evolving Filipino culture ,” added Louie. “And Blvck Entertainment is proud to be part of such a lofty endeavor.”
Blvck Entertainment is planning to develop “Tres Marias” into a full-length feature film.
The contest was sponsored by Alkaviva Waters Philippines, GLC Infinite Waters International, Grace Electronics Philippines, Blue Green Dragon Marketing, LG Realty Development and Blvck Creatives Studio.
