Dennis Trillo is set to make his debut appearance in GMA’s period drama “Pulang Araw” on August 21, playing a pivotal character, a multi-lingual Japanese military leader named Col. Yuta Saitoh.
According to Dennis, fans would definitely detest Col. Yuta, given how he only has seemingly one purpose and that is, to make life miserable for other characters in the story.
He shared, “For sure sa simula, galit talaga ang mararamdaman nila dahil kontrabida at masama si Col. Yuta Saitoh.
“Wala namang kontrabida na bigla na lang naging kontrabida,” he added, going on to relate a bit of his character’s backstory.
Deplorable as his character in the show may be, Dennis maintained, “Lahat ng masama ay may chance magbago.”
The series is set in the Philippines during World War II, something that Dennis believes should be interesting for today’s generation of viewers.
Being part of a show that focuses on the destruction and chaos given to armed conflict, Dennis said he learned more about the value of “peace.”
Also starring Barbie Forteza, Sanya Lopez, David Licauco, and Alden Richards, among many others, “Pulang Araw” airs weeknights 8pm on GMA Prime, Kapuso Stream, and GTV.
