BURGOS, Pangasinan – A church pastor previously reported deceased and interred in a cemetery unexpectedly returned to his family in Sual, this province, reports on Saturday, August 17, said.
His son, Eduardo Gille Jr., contacted the police here inform them that his father, Eduardo Sr., came home alive to their surprise at 9:48 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, in Barangay Seselangen.
Days earlier on Sunday night, August 4, residents found the half-body of a man floating on the shoreline of Sitio Pao, Barangay Ilio-Ilio, this town.
The unidentified remains were wearing navy blue jeans and a green belt.
Eduardo Sr.’s family thought that the remains were his and taken home by his wife, Lydia. These buried at the Sual Municipal Cemetery on Wednesday, August 7.
However, Eduardo Sr. turned up alive and on August 10, Eduardo Jr. reported to the police that his father has returned home.
Eduardo Sr. said that he had been on a mission in a chapel in Alaminos City, Pangasinan and did not return home for several days.
The Gille patriarch was astonished that he was declared dead.
