Martin Nievera is both excited and nervous about his upcoming concert “The King 4Ever” to be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sept. 27.
“Excited because it’s one of the biggest concerts that I will do after some time,” he explained. “Nervous, because it’s the Araneta, it’s huge. I’m worried that I wouldn’t be able to fill it up like before.”
But the 62-year-old made clear, “I’m going to perform and give my 100% even if only one or two people will come and see me.”
Obviously, Martin is still on fire.
He attested to this, saying, “I’m still raring to perform, still raring to wow people…for me there are no big or small concerts. I always give my 100 percent whatever size the venue.”
At this point, the singer is all about leaving a stellar legacy.
“I want to do better. I want to leave a legacy where I can be remembered by my music, by my good decisions, not just by my bad ones, so that people who will follow my footsteps will have a nice path to follow. That’s what keeps me going.”
He admitted to his biggest fear, and that is to be “forgotten.”
“I don’t want to be forgotten. That is my biggest fear, that I will be forgotten… I want to be an important and remembered person in the industry. That’s why I say yes more than no. That’s why I take pictures with fans as opposed to shying away from it. I do love it. I literally put myself in the crowd just to be able to take pictures because, I know, it’s not gonna last forever.”
