A couple of days after clarifying her absence in the Paris Olympians’ ceremony at the Malacañang and even in the parade, gymnast Levi Jung-Ruivivar is finally heading to Manila after receiving an invite from the Office of the President.
Sharing her excitement in her Instagram story, Ruivivar, 18, will depart from her hometown Los Angeles, California later this evening and is expected to arrive Thursday morning, Aug. 22, here in the country.
The Stanford University standout was thrilled and grateful for the opportunity of making her dreams into reality.
“Can’t contain my excitement!” Ruivivar wrote.
“Thank you to the President and his office for making this dream come true. Can’t wait to see you all soon,” she added.
However, there are no further details if she will join other Olympians especially her fellow gymnasts Aleah Finnegan and Emma Malabuyo when she meets President Ferdinand Marcos.
Last Monday, Finnegan and Malabuyo joined other Filipino Olympians at the Senate where they attended its recognition ceremony for the Philippine delegates who competed in Paris, France.
Two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo and bronze winners Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas were also there in the event.
Recently, Ruivivar posted a statement on her social media account which clarified her non-attendance in the Malacañang and even in the parade.
