Double Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo received another blessing courtesy of a P6-million house and lot from PHirst, the First-Home First-Home brand of listed developer Century Properties Group (CPG).
Yulo, the first-ever Filipino double gold winner, attended the ceremonial handover at the Century City Mall in Makati Monday, Aug. 26, where he officially took the keys to his new home.
“On behalf of PHirst and the entire Century Properties Group, we extend our sincerest gratitude and heartfelt congratulations to Carlos Yulo for his historic double gold in the Olympics, bringing pride to the Philippines,” said Amb. Jose E.B. Antonio, Executive Chairman of CPG.
Yulo will have his newly-built fancy abode set at PHirst Batulao Editions in Nasugbu, Batangas.
CPG also bestowed weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz-Naranjo, the first-ever Filipino gold medalist in the quadrennial meet, the same house and lot.
“We have been consistent with our desire to reward our outstanding Olympians. It started with the champion weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz who won our first-ever Olympic gold, and now we are once again delighted to gift Carlos a PHirst home, a ‘Home of Champions!’” Amb. Antonio added.
The pride of Leveriza has already collected more than P113 million incentives from different private companies and government bodies which he will surely enjoy due to exemption of taxes.
According to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Yulo is not required nor be levied of taxes in his incentives – a privilege given to successful athletes who bannered the Philippine colors.
Other Olympians are exempted in the said taxes as well.
